Our Halloween Contest


We had one entry into our contest. This was not enough to constitute prizes, but I would like to feature the entry here for the next while.

Monster's KissI.
"Reawaken, being, reawaken!" the madman-like doctor cried as lightning from a sudden and brief electrical storm shot crackling fingers across the night sky outside his laboratory's windows overlooking somewhere in America. It was like a moment from a work of classic fiction, he recalled much later.
"He's alive!" the doctor shrieked as it became clear to him that the reanimated being was breathing on its own. He tried to calm himself enough to make clear mental images of the moment to savor later.
Suddenly, if stiffly, the sewn-together and reanimated monster man sat up, scratched his head and shook it twice to clear his mind. He looked around at what was nearest to him in the laboratory, then stopped with his eyes fixed directly into those of his re-creator. He then said to the man who'd just brought him back to life, "I feel like I've been asleep for a hundred years. Now tell me, who exactly are you?"
